Hi, I’m Kaiti!

I’m a landscape and wildlife photographer traveling the world and sometimes climbing rocks along the way.  Ten years ago, I never would have guessed that my life would look like this.  I had just finished earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan, and I immediately went out and found a seasonal ranger job at a state park.  The job was clearly outside of my field of study, but my artwork had taken me on a path of deep appreciation for nature, and I felt the need to be outdoors experiencing and learning about my environment first hand.

Since then, I have found my way back to my hometown, where I split my days between painting in my home studio, and working at my part-time job.  I spend the rest of my time practicing photography, camping, rock climbing, traveling, SCUBA diving, driving absurd distances for weekend road trips, and volunteering in environmental stewardship.  I don’t often have the opportunity to go on extended trips, so I’ve become an expert at  jamming every itinerary I make with as many awesome activities as possible.  I know many others feel the same time pressure that I do while on vacation, so feel free to write me if you need advice on how to maximize your time to get the most out of your holiday.  You can also shop my watercolor paintings, and other fun gifts in my etsy store!
